Century Plaza Hotel 415 SW Alder Street. Portland, OR 97204 As far as I'm concerned, there is only one place to stay when you arrive in Downtown Portland. The Century Plaza Hotel (located right above the off-track betting headquarters) puts old-fashioned Oregon hospitality in a contemporary setting complete with a microwave for use in the snack machine room (residents only, please). The knowledgeable, vaccinated, and methed-out staff is always on hand to answer any potential questions the guest might have such as, "What do you think is causing this sore?" "Where's Social Security at?" or "Why is there a rotting corpse in my bed?"
